Jhon explains his motivations to bring Football analytics to Grassroots

My Footy: Hi Jhon, thank you for taking the time to talk with us today. Can you tell us a bit about what inspired you to start working on helping grassroots communities to have access to football analytics?

Jhon: Hi, thanks for having me. Well, I have always been passionate about football and I have been following it closely for many years. My son also plays grassroots football and attends Elite training sessions with private Elite organisations. Through my involvement in grassroots football, I realised that there was a huge gap between the resources available to professional academies and grassroots teams, particularly in terms of access to football analytics. I felt that this was something that could make a big difference to grassroots players and coaches, so I decided to start working on a solution.

My Footy: That's really interesting. Can you tell us more about your vision for bringing football analytics to grassroots football?

Jhon: My aim is to provide a service that allows grassroots teams and coaches to have access to football analytics, without the prohibitive costs that are often associated with this kind of technology. I believe that by providing this kind of data and insight, grassroots teams can improve their performance on the pitch and help young players to reach their full potential. I want to help level the playing field and give all young footballers the opportunity to benefit from the latest advancements in football analytics, regardless of their background or financial resources.

My Footy: That's a great goal to have. How do you see football analytics shaping the future of grassroots football?

Jhon: I think that football analytics can play a big role in helping grassroots teams and players to improve their performance and achieve their goals. By providing coaches and players with detailed information about their strengths and weaknesses, as well as the specific demands and responsibilities of each position, we can help them to tailor their training and development programs to meet their specific needs. This can lead to better performance on the pitch, increased confidence and self-belief, and ultimately, greater success for grassroots teams and players.

My Footy: Thanks Jhon, it was great talking to you and definitely we see that grassroots football could beneffit from football analytics.
